4.5-Hour Food Service Helper

Position Title: 4.5-hour Food Service Helper

Location: Woodrow Wilson Elementary School / Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD

Hours: 10-month position (September – June) / Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Salary/Pay Scale: Per the CSEA Contract; Minimum Wage $16.00/hour

Job duties:

• Assist the Food Service Helper in Charge with food preparation and daily operations of the school cafeteria.
• Prepare food for students and serve meals (which includes standing for extended periods of time).
• Wash student and staff trays and
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces and
• Employee must be able to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and do simple math such as addition and subtraction in order to balance a cash drawer.
• Employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time
• Any additional duties as assigned by Food Service Helper in Charge or Food Service

Requirements: High School Diploma and reliable transportation required.
